It is inside. A need. A desire. A requirement.

Taking photos. It is a process not so formulaic to be of a specific thing or perhaps to ‘do’ a specific genre. It is a challenge. Photography. - or the inherant nature of photography: what can be seen? What is of interest. What can become of interest? How does the act of holding a camera, of pointing it, framing it, change the way we see an object, a place or the world around us? It is exploration.

These pages are exploration. Catagorised, somewhat, to understand different interests, but otherwise they are of their moment. Intrigue. A way of learning about our surroundings.

Light, shape, form, texture and moments, wrapped in a three-dimensional bag. Placed on a two-dimensional surface.

Why ‘dagaggle’?

‘dagaggle’ is the name used when I first started my photo blog (which still exists in the ‘blog’ link above) way back in 2011. The name came to be as a word to describe the assortment/ collection of photos I was creating and curating. A ‘gaggle’ - a disorderly group of people, and ‘da’ because, well, my names Dan. So ‘dagaggle’ was born. I liked the term gaggle as I felt it related to the disconnected nature of alot the photos I was, and continue to take.
