Chiang Mai
November 7, 2016
The classic view from Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. Was a nice windy road to reach the top, so it was worth going for that as well.
There are lots of different Wats in Chiang Mai.
Inside said one of those said Wats.
Amazing gold clad structures.
Umbrellas!
Love the (half) elephant.
Gold Buddha in front of steps.
Not the most amazing photo, but you have to love the bright orange of the monk’s attire against the grey of the tarmac floor.
Reva!
Young girl playing in the market street to fund her ‘Scholarship’.
Market vendors
These two kids literally sat right on the floor in between the incredible bustle of the market.
Street artists.
Good beer was had here.
I feel this ‘captures’ the manic-ness of the market street; very busy, amazing!
Market bustle
Construction – love the bamboo scaff.
Off down one of the side streets..
Gold, gold.. gold everywhere.
Steps up to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep.
