I love Hanoi. A beautiful, chaotic swirl of colours, sounds, motion and texture, not to mention wonderful people. I hope these photos somehow portray life and the onslaught the senses were subjected to whilst walking around.
Hanoi! Vietnam! Wires! Wires everwhere, along with people (and mopeds).
Sneak Peak. In the dark, on his phone.
Large roundabout near Hoàn Kiếm Lake. Watching the world swarm by.
Fruit, shops, stuff. ‘Things’ being sold everywhere.
A woman sorts out her wares. Shops like this – and their owners are everywhere; people perched in amongst goods.
The organic nature of buildings in Hanoi. There are no rules.
Pineapple woman. Love the guy behind her – and you can just make out a barbers behind him, out in the open.
Bars down this street with classic Vietnamese plastic stools.
Basket Lady.
Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. Ho Chi Minh, revered by the Vietnamese, lies in state here.
A beautiful alleyway hit by the sun.
This amazing.. street? lined with houses.. and with a train track running smack down the middle.
No problem, its only a tree.
Love the lighting on this guy. Not sure what he was up to, fixing something.
Overlooking Hoàn Kiếm Lake at night.
Selling her fruit off the back of her bike.
People in a cafe.
Love the kids expression.
No roads are off limits, mopeds can – and will – get anywhere and everywhere.
Just about to sell something.
Just lots going on.
Its Pineapple Woman again!
Everyday life.
