Istanbul #4 – The Streets
May 10, 2014
Lamps hang along the plaza between The Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque
A couple walk down a street at night.
A small stone arch overlooking a busy road beyond
The colours
A few people converse at the top of these steps
The old walls of a mosque
Leading In
Dusk’s world of light
Lovely old stone walls – a door that leads to?
A couple of guys have a smoke on the balcony
Everything is so vivid, so strong.
A lovely old door and surround, aged and weathered over the years
Full of character
There is so much going on with this wall. And the light.. almost looks unreal.
Ottoman timber houses – you can see the influences from elsewhere in the world
I love this photo. The way the light hits the man in the doorway. You couldn’t have planned this.
A man in a suit walks down a street
In the doorway, silhouetted.
Vibrancy.
Wonderful colours of lanterns in the trees – and a couple in the distance.
